The Village Treasurer serves as chief fiscal officer of the Village and is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the municipality with accuracy, accountability, and transparency. The Treasurer’s primary duties include receiving, depositing, and disbursing municipal funds, as well as maintaining accurate financial records. By carefully managing public funds, the Treasurer helps ensure the long-term stability and effective operation of local government.
Annual Budget
The Village’s annual budget process begins in September and October and concludes in November with a required public hearing, followed by review and approval by the Village Board. The general budget serves as a financial roadmap, guiding department heads and the Village Board in allocating resources and delivering essential services to Village residents throughout the year.
